Scalp health and inflammation
How it happens (physiology)
Androgenetic alopecia (AGA) involves genetic predisposition and androgen metabolism (DHT acting on susceptible follicles). Hair cycles shorten (shorter anagen, longer telogen), follicles miniaturize from terminal to vellus hairs, and dermal papilla changes plus perifollicular fibrosis contribute to progressive thinning.
Variations
-
Male vs female pattern distributions.
-
Early-onset vs later-onset.
-
Diffuse vs patterned loss.
Severity & treatment approach
-
Early thinning: best window for intervention—medical therapies (minoxidil, anti-androgens where appropriate), PRP, lifestyle factors.
-
Moderate patterned loss: combination of pharmacologic treatment + PRP; some will also plan for transplantation.
-
Advanced loss: PRP and medical therapy can still stabilize/improve density somewhat, but expectations must be realistic; transplantation or camouflage strategies often enter the discussion.

PRP Hair Restoration – Guided Hair Growth Program
-
Multiple systematic reviews and clinical studies show PRP injections increase hair density in androgenetic alopecia and can serve as monotherapy or adjunct to other treatments or hair transplant.
Medical Oversight + Topical/Oral Therapies
-
Integration of minoxidil, finasteride (where appropriate), and other evidence-based options into your program.
Scalp-Focused Product Recommendations & Coaching
-
Gentle, evidence-supported shampoos, serums and routines supporting scalp microbiome and hair-cycle stability.
Microneedling / RF Microneedling as Adjuncts
-
Some RF microneedling protocols have been investigated for hair thinning; needling can also enhance topical penetration when clinically appropriate.
