IPL Photofacials
What It Is
An Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) Photofacial uses broad-spectrum light energy to safely and effectively target skin discoloration and vascular concerns. Unlike lasers that work at a single wavelength, IPL uses multiple wavelengths of light to penetrate the skin and break down unwanted pigmentation and redness.
At ALux Spa, IPL is one of our most popular treatments for anyone looking to even out their skin tone, reduce visible sun damage, or calm redness—without downtime.

How It Works
During treatment, pulses of light are delivered into the skin and absorbed by two key targets:
-
Melanin (pigment) in brown spots, freckles, and sun damage
-
Hemoglobin in superficial blood vessels, which reduces redness and broken capillaries
This controlled light energy breaks down unwanted pigment and coagulates small vessels, which are then naturally cleared away by the body. Over a series of treatments, skin becomes clearer, smoother, and more radiant.

Target redness, pigmentation, and uneven tone:
for skin that looks clearer and brighter.
Pairs Beautifully With
For Deep Cleansing & Hydration
By exfoliating and infusing antioxidants, HydraFacial prepares the skin for IPL and enhances its post-treatment glow. Together, they create a foundation for clearer, brighter skin that stays hydrated.
For Elasticity & Redness Control:
While IPL targets brown spots and vascular issues, Candela Laser Facials penetrate deeper to boost collagen and skin tightening.
Combining them gives both surface clarity and deeper rejuvenation.
For Collagen & Texture Refinement

After pigmentation and redness are reduced with IPL, microneedling builds on those results by improving texture, minimizing pores, and stimulating collagen for firmer, smoother skin.
For Healing & Inflammation Reduction

Red Light Therapy accelerates recovery post-IPL, calming redness and supporting collagen production. It’s a gentle way to extend the benefits of your photofacial while minimizing downtime.
